The Department for Judiciary performs activities within the scope of the Ministry that refer to the judiciary, the public prosecutor's office, the state attorney's office, other judicial authorities, attorney's office and other types of legal assistance, inheritance, ownership, rights and obligations, amnesty and pardon, , litigation and non-litigation, misdemeanors, intellectual property and expertise.
Matters within the scope of the Department are carried out through:
- Unit for Normative Activity in Criminal and Civil Matters.
- Unit for Courts, Public Prosecution and other Judicial Bodies;
- Pardon and Indemnification Unit;
- Unit for handling complaints and complaints about the work of the judicial authorities;
- Unit for activity expertise and assessment.
Unit for Normative Activity in Criminal Matters

In the Department for Normative Activity in Criminal and Civil Matters, the following tasks and tasks are performed:
- preparing proposals for passing laws, draft laws and other regulations and general acts in criminal and civil matters;
- preparation of analyzes for the implementation of laws on criminal and civil matters;
- preparation of comparative analyzes and analyzes for international standards of criminal and civil matters;
- drafting opinions according to laws and initiatives for assessing the constitutionality of criminal and civil law laws;
- monitoring and implementation of laws on criminal and civil matters.
- collecting data from the courts, conducting analysis of the penal policy of the courts, giving proposals for improvement of the legal framework and following the international standards contained in the international documents related to the confiscation of property, property gain and confiscation of objects in criminal and misdemeanor procedure.
The Department for Organization of Judicial Bodies and Monitoring of the Reform in the Judicial Sector

The following tasks and tasks are performed in the Department for Courts, Public Prosecutor's Office and other judicial organs:
- preparation of proposals for passing laws, draft laws and other regulations and general acts in the field of judiciary, public prosecution, attorney's office and other judicial bodies;
- preparation of reports, opinions, analyzes, reviews, information and other materials related to the work of the judiciary, the public prosecutor's office, attorney's office and other judicial bodies;
- monitoring and studying the work of the judiciary regarding the organization, timeliness, expediency and promptness in their work;
- realization of cooperation with the Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the issues of providing general working conditions, as well as other issues of common interest;
- participation in oversight of the administrative work and in the supervision of the up-to-date operation;
- preparation of a Court Book of Rules;
- taking care of the implementation of the Court Rules of Procedure and giving guidance and explanations of its application and inspecting the application of the Court Rules of Procedure;
- monitoring of the work of the judicial institutions and improvement and improvement of their work;
- monitoring the implementation of the implementation and protection of intellectual property;
- monitoring and implementation of the reform of the justice system within the competences of the sector;
- performance of matters related to the judicial administration;
- keeping records of judges containing data on the name and surname, date and place of birth, nationality, place of residence, level of education, professional title, knowledge of foreign languages, as well as other data determined by law;
- keeping records of the members of the judicial police, inspecting the security situation of the courts and providing recommendations and guidelines for its improvement;
