ANB – security, professionalism and the rule of law

The Minister of Justice, Jeton Shasivari, attended the ceremonial celebration of the Day of the National Security Agency (ANB) yesterday.
In times of complex security challenges, strong and professional institutions are the foundation of a stable state. However, true security is built on legality, respect for human rights, proportionality and democratic oversight.
The security of the state and the rule of law are two sides of the same democratic order.
