Our future should be based on building a strong, independent and modern judiciary that will meet the expectations of our citizens and will be in line with European values.

The rule of law is the basic pillar on which every modern society rests, and reforms are a prerequisite for building trust between citizens and institutions.

In the past period, we have witnessed the need for serious changes in the justice system, which are one of the main prerequisites for progress in European processes.

The European Union is clear - there is no compromise when it comes to justice.

We cannot expect economic prosperity, social cohesion and stability, without a fair and independent judicial system. Of course, judicial reforms do not mean only changing laws. They also include changing the mode of operation of judicial institutions. It is necessary to constantly educate judges and prosecutors, it is necessary to introduce new technologies for better efficiency, but also to strengthen control and accountability mechanisms.

These reforms are not only a national priority but are also part of our European integration.
