The Minister of Justice, Igor Filkov, initiated a procedure to withdraw the decision for giving a consent to increase the notary's fees which was adopted by the previous Government and the former Minister of Justice, Krenar Lloga. The Ministry of Justice initiates a procedure before the Government to annul the given consent regarding the tariff, which will be the basis for non-application of the adopted decision.
Before making changes of this scale that directly affect the citizens and the economy in the country, it is necessary to open a broad debate.
"According to these changes, the biggest fee increase was in the preparation of notarial acts of lesser value, which are common among citizens. In the case of acts of hundreds or thousands of euros, there are almost no changes or the increase is minimal. That must not happen and that is why we would like to withdraw these changes. Any decision that directly affects citizens in the future will be subject to a wide debate, that is, before we make any changes, we will hear what all stakeholders think and how that decision will be reflected", said at today's press conference, the Minister of Justice, Igor Filkov.
