Japan with strong support for reforms and the rule of law

Minister of Justice, Igor Filkov, held a working meeting with the Ambassador of Japan to our country, Setsuko Kawahara, at which the excellent and friendly relations between the two countries were confirmed.
The focus of the conversation was the reform agenda, the promotion of the rule of law and activities related to electoral legislation.
There are no open issues between the two countries, which creates a stable basis for further deepening of the partnership. In the coming period, the exchange of experiences and good practices will be intensified, as well as support in processes that mean strengthening legal certainty and democratic standards.
