Minister of Justice, Igor Filkov, met with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in North Macedonia, H.E. Petra Drexler

It was discussed at the meeting about the planned reforms in the judiciary, the rule of law, the Electoral Code, as well as the digitalization process.

Minister Filkov indicated that from November 15, debates on the Judicial Council will begin in order to find the best acceptable solution. It has also been worked on legal amendments to solve the problem of lack of judges and public prosecutors.

Ambassador Drexler emphasized that the Federal Republic of Germany supports all initiatives to promote cooperation within the European integration process, as well as the commitments of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of North Macedonia to introduce the institute - constitutional appeal.

Bilateral cooperation between the two countries will continue in the coming period.
