Today, the Ministry of Justice is promoting the Annual Report for the Implementation of the Development Sectoral Strategy for the Judiciary 2024-2028 for 2025, a document that provides a comprehensive overview of progress in the implementation of reforms in the judicial sector.
In his address, the Minister of Justice, Igor Filkov, emphasized that the results show continuous dynamics in the implementation of reform processes and a clear institutional commitment to improving the rule of law.
According to the report, 116 activities were planned for the year 2025, of which 66 have been fully implemented, and 50 are in the implementation phase. The total implementation rate reached 56.9 percent.
Particularly significant results were achieved in the areas of the judiciary and the Public Prosecutor's Office, where the implementation rate exceeds 81 percent, while in the case of reforms related to the Constitutional Court, the implementation rate reaches 75 percent.
"These indicators represent confirmation that the reforms are moving with a clear dynamic and bringing concrete results. Every realized step means a more efficient judiciary, greater legal certainty and stronger institutions", emphasized Minister Filkov.
In the framework of the event, it was emphasized that the Development Sectoral Strategy for the Judiciary 2024-2028 remains a key document for the modernization of the judicial system and its harmonization with European standards.
The report also identifies the priorities for the next period, among which are: further digitization of the judiciary, strengthening of institutional capacities, investment in human resources and improvement of coordination between institutions.
The Ministry of Justice will continue with the implementation of the activities of the Action Plan, with the aim of creating a modern, efficient and transparent judicial system that will ensure the rule of law and equal access to justice for all citizens.
Finally, gratitude was expressed to the judicial institutions, partners from the civil sector and the international community, for their contribution to the implementation of the reforms, as well as to the project "EU Support for the Rule of Law" for the support in the preparation of the report.
