For 35 years, Macedonia has been building its path - through challenges, changes, successes and moments that remind us that the state is strongest when all its citizens feel equal, respected and valued.
Our diversity should not divide us. It is a treasure that connects us.
Macedonia is home to different peoples, languages, cultures and traditions. But, above all, it is a common homeland and a common future.
Therefore, our task today is not only to mark the independence that the generations before us created.
Our task is to build Macedonia that we will leave to the generations to come.
To build a country in which equality is a value, justice is the foundation, diversity is strength, and unity is the path to the future.
