The Minister of Justice Igor Filkov sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the September 8 - the Independence Day.

"May we have a happy and eternal September 8, the Independence Day!

This holiday marks our sovereignty and independence of our country when 33 years ago, in a referendum, the citizens voted convincingly to live in an independent, free and a democratic Republic of North Macedonia.

On this day, we pay respect and gratitude to all our ancestors who paved the way for an independent  state with their courage, sacrifice and dedication.

Only by being united and in harmony, with a defined vision and goal, will we succeed in making our country a better place to live for all its citizens.
