Holding in his hands the first issue of the Official Gazette of the Federal Unit Macedonia in the Democratic and Federative Yugoslavia, which was reserved for the basic acts of ASNOM from August 2, 1944, the Minister of Justice, Igor Filkov, in his address on the occasion of the anniversary of the PE Official Gazette, emphasized the significance of the official gazette for our statehood.
“The first issue contains the basic acts of ASNOM from August 2, 1944, which established the Macedonian state with all the elements and attributes of statehood, such as the legislative and executive bodies, the language, the education system, the health system, the beginnings of the judiciary, the means of payment, the territorial division of the state, numerous rulebooks, operational solutions. But here is the decision to designate Ilinden - August 2 as a "national public holiday of the Macedonian people and the Macedonian state, as a symbol of all its struggles for its final liberation from centuries of slavery and the creation of a free and sovereign federal Macedonian state. Even greater is the pride of the awareness that our state has dedicated to human rights, adopting the ASNOM Declaration on the Fundamental Rights of the Citizens of Democratic Macedonia", emphasized the Minister of Justice, Igor Filkov.
The Government of the Republic of North Macedonia is the founder of the Public Enterprise "Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia", but the Ministry of Justice is the parent ministry responsible for the preparation of legal regulations for the publication of laws, other regulations and acts in the "Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia", as well as the publication of the official gazette "Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia", as an activity of public interest. This, according to Minister Filkov, creates a special bond between the two institutions, which are committed to a process of constant communication and cooperation.
