The Minister of Justice, Igor Filkov, met the Ambassador of the United States of America in the Republic of North Macedonia, H.E. Angela P. Aggeler. It was discussed about the implementation of reform commitments, strengthening the fight against crime and corruption, the conditions in the judiciary, prison system, as well as ensuring conditions for the smooth implementation of the planned activities.
Ambassador Aggeler wished Filkov successful work and expressed her expectations about the implementation of the reform legislative agenda.
The Minister of Justice, Filkov, said that changes must be delivered quickly, because citizens demand results.
"The USA is our biggest strategic partner and a strong ally for our country's progress towards full membership in the European Union".
At the meeting, the commitment and dedication to the further development of the bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as the continuation of the previous cooperation, were confirmed.
