Filkov-Baumgartner: France is our significant partner and a friend

The Minister of Justice, Igor Filkov, met  the Ambassador of France H.E. Cyril Baumgartner, and they discussed about the cooperation between the two countries in the field of justice, the reform agenda, projects, as well as about the following priorities of the Ministry of Justice, covered by the new Justice Sector Reform Strategy 2024-2028.

H.E. Cyril Baumgartner welcomed the reform minister's plans and expressed France's readiness to help in all these processes with various assistance, including expert assistance.

The cooperation with the liaison judge in Belgrade and the internal security attaché in Skopje, who with their activities help in the implementation of the reforms, was highlighted as particularly significant.

It is expected that the expert Cecilia Maronie will arrive in our country in September, who will work for two years in the Ministry of Justice and will help us in the European integration process.

Filkov and Baumgartner committed to further strengthening of bilateral relations and intensifying cooperation of mutual interest.
