Filkov from Podgorica: Macedonia and Montenegro strengthen cooperation in judicial reforms

Minister of Justice Igor Filkov held a bilateral meeting in Podgorica with the Minister of Justice of Montenegro, Bojan Božović.
The meeting confirmed the strong commitment of the two countries to deepen cooperation in the area of the rule of law, independence of the judiciary and the implementation of reforms in the judicial system, in the context of the European integration process.
Special attention was paid to the promotion of bilateral cooperation between Montenegro and the Republic of North Macedonia, where it was assessed that the relations between the two countries are characterized by friendship, mutual trust and continuous support in areas of common interest.
The ministers also referred to the previous meetings and the results achieved from the cooperation, emphasizing that there is room for its further deepening, especially through a more intensive exchange of experiences, good practices and institutional cooperation within the framework of the reform processes and the harmonization with the European legislation.
Filkov and Božović emphasized that the cooperation between the two countries represents a significant contribution to the stability and European perspective of the region, expressing a common will to further intensify bilateral relations in the field of justice.
