The Minister of Justice, Jeton Shasivari, attended today the opening of the event "Notary Days 2026", organized by the Notary Chamber, on the topic: "Inheritance Proceedings: Between the Legal Framework and Notary Practice."
In his address, Minister Shasivari emphasized the importance of the notary public as one of the pillars of the legal system and a guarantor of legal certainty for citizens, highlighting that the work of notaries has a direct impact on the protection of property rights, family relations, and the security of legal transactions.
He pointed out that citizens' trust is the greatest asset of institutions, and that exercising the notary profession requires, alongside legal expertise, integrity, independence, professional ethics, and a high level of responsibility.
Minister Shasivari informed that the Ministry of Justice, within the framework of upcoming reforms and the European integration process, will pay special attention to improving the legal regulation in the field of notaries, aligning it with modern standards, and digitalizing procedures and services.
According to him, digitalization should enable faster procedures, fewer administrative obstacles, lower costs, greater transparency, and easier access for citizens to legal services.
In this regard, Shasivari emphasized that the Notary Chamber will be an important and equal partner to the Ministry of Justice, because sustainable reforms are not achieved solely through legal amendments, but also through close cooperation with professionals who apply laws in practice on a daily basis.
In the end, the Minister expressed hope that "Notary Days 2026" will serve as a platform for substantive discussions, exchange of experiences, and concrete proposals for the further development and advancement of the notary system in the country.
"Legal certainty builds trust, professionalism protects it, and responsibility makes justice tangible for every citizen," emphasized Minister Shasivari.
