The Minister of Justice, Jeton Shasivari, met with the Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Armen Grigoryan, and it was discussed about the promotion of free legal aid and the continuation of mutual cooperation.
It was also discussed at the meeting about the possibilities for improving the availability and quality of legal services, as well as strengthening of institutional capacities.
Minister Shasivari emphasized the importance of equal access to justice as one of the priorities of the Ministry of Justice, emphasizing that legal protection should be available to every citizen.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of the partnership between the Ministry of Justice and the UNDP in implementing activities aimed at promoting the free legal aid system.
The common determination is to contribute to a more efficient legal aid system and greater trust of citizens in institutions through continuous cooperation and exchange of experiences.
