The priority of joint commitment remains the full realization of the best interest of the child in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
It is extremely important to monitor the implementation of the Law on Justice for Children and to improve the capacities of all entities in the system of justice for children in the country. The new law emphasizes the necessity for specialization of subjects and in that direction it is necessary to continue the training of legal professionals for the treatment and protection of children, victims or witnesses of violence and crime, as well as access to restorative justice.
Activities in the coming period will focus on the collection of data and statistics in accordance with the Law on Justice for Children, as well as on greater resocialization and rehabilitation in accordance with international standards in this area.
The Ministry of Justice will continue to work intensively in partnership with UNICEF in the process of further strengthening the children's justice system by advancing legal solutions for legal protection.
