Workshop for concluding observations of the UN Human Rights Committee for the Fourth Periodic Report on the Republic of North Macedonia

On November 5, 2025, a workshop was held on the topic:
"Concluding observations of the United Nations Human Rights Committee for the Fourth Periodic Report on the Republic of North Macedonia under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights".

On July 14, 2025, the Human Rights Committee adopted the concluding observations and recommendations for the Fourth Periodic Report on the Republic of North Macedonia. In accordance with international obligations, by the next reporting period, the state should implement these recommendations in the direction of improving human rights and the rule of law.

Representatives of competent ministries and institutions report on the status of implementation of individual recommendations of the Committee. They indicated that the recommendations correspond with existing program activities for the promotion and respect of human rights, as well as that there is a plan of activities for their further implementation in the following period.

Representatives of non-governmental organizations also participated in the discussion, sharing their views and experiences. With their program activity, they represent additional value in the overall national efforts to implement the recommendations of the Human Rights Committee.

The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Justice, with the support and cooperation of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), for which the Ministry expresses sincere gratitude.
