All OSCE/ODIHR recommendations are considered, most of them were accepted

The fifth session of the Working Group on Electoral Legislation Reform was held today, at which several key issues related to harmonizing the Electoral Code with the OSCE/ODIHR recommendations were considered.
At the session, the minutes of the previous session and several proposals for amendments to provisions of the Electoral Code were adopted, while additional discussion was opened for some of the issues in order to find a broader consensus among political parties and other participants in the process.
The Working Group concluded that the next session will continue with the consideration of the remaining open issues, as well as with the analysis of the submitted proposals from parliamentary political parties, independent MPs, competent institutions and the civil sector.
A call has been sent to all participants to submit their specific proposals and comments within the established deadline, with the aim of timely preparation of a harmonized text of the amendments to the Electoral Code.
The working group continues its work towards improving the electoral regulations and strengthening democratic electoral standards and will soon have a legal solution.
