The Minister of Justice, Jeton Shasivari, had a meeting today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to the Republic of North Macedonia, Florijan Kehaja, at which the joint determination to improve bilateral cooperation and intensify the partnership in the fields of justice and European integration was confirmed.
Macedonia and Kosovo, as good neighbors and partners, share the same vision for a stable region based on the rule of law, democratic values and full membership in the European Union. In that direction, the importance of the exchange of experiences and good practices that will contribute to more efficient implementation of reform processes, was emphasized.
Special attention was paid to reforms in the judicial system, strengthening the independence of the judiciary and the digitalization process. Minister Shasivari emphasized that a functional, independent and efficient judiciary is a prerequisite for restoring the trust of citizens and for successful progress in the process of European integration.
The joint commitment to reforms, the rule of law and European integration, represents a strong foundation for even more intensive cooperation between Macedonia and Kosovo.
