Shasivari and Osmani: The law on the Use of Languages must be consistently implemented in all institutions

The Minister of Justice, Jeton Shasivari, held a working meeting with the Director of the Agency for Language Implementation, Granit Osmani, dedicated to the improvement of institutional cooperation and consistent implementation of the Law on the Use of Languages.
It was emphasized that the full implementation of the Law represents a legal obligation and an essential element of the rule of law, legal certainty and equal access of citizens to institutions.
Minister Shasivari confirmed the decision of the Ministry of Justice to strengthen the institutional mechanisms that ensure compliance with legal provisions and guarantee the linguistic rights of citizens.
Director Osmani pointed out that the Language Implementation Agency provides professional and practical support to state institutions in the implementation of the Law on the Use of Languages, through guidelines, recommendations and expert assistance. 
The agency takes care of promoting the official use of the Albanian language, which is spoken by at least 20 percent of the citizens, as a right guaranteed by law.
In the following period, institutional cooperation, coordination and joint activities will be deepened, which will contribute to a more efficient and consistent application of the Law on the Use of Languages in all state institutions.
