The Government and civil society sector will fight crime and corruption together

The Minister of Justice, Igor Filkov, together with the Prime Minister, Hristijan Mickoski, and some of the ministers, participated in the first of a series of meetings with the civil sector : "Dialogue between the Government and the civil sector" on the topic: “Rule of law, good governance and fight against corruption” organized by the International Republican Institute.

 
The fight against crime and corruption must be decisive, and the goal of the Government is to enable better functioning of institutions and good governance through dialogue and communication with civil society organizations.
 
Minister of Justice, Igor Filkov, emphasized that civil society organizations, informal networks and activists, are involved in the activities of the Ministry of Justice.
 "The door for civil society organizations is open, and this is proven by the fact that in every working group for the amendments to the laws, by-laws, the preparation of strategies, manuals, etc. these organizations are part of them and are actively involved together with the employees of the Ministry of Justice, and they have a successful cooperation. They are always, without exception, included in all debates and public hearings initiated by the Ministry of Justice, and we take their recommendations into account with emphasized attention", said Minister of Justice, Filkov.
Minister Filkov said that the sphere of the rule of law and the fight against corruption are key priorities for all of us, and this can only be achieved with joint efforts of institutions and civil society.
