FOR THE FIRST TIME: Complete regulation on expert appraisal!

Ministry of justice Ministry of justice

The Draft Law on Expert Appraisal, which has been published on ENER, finally introduces clear, legally binding rules for registration, licensing and supervision of all those who perform this activity.

Until now, the absence of such regulation has created a legal vacuum and uncertainty - which directly affected the legal certainty of the entire judicial system.

- Clear conditions for registration - the Ministry of Justice will finally maintain a complete Register of legal entities that perform expert appraisals, for which precise criteria for registration are provided.

- Obtaining a license only through an exam - an objective test of knowledge in the field of legal regulation.

- Minimum work experience - at least 10 years of experience after graduation, or 5 after a master's degree or a doctorate.

- Professional self-regulation - licensing is transferred to the competence of the Chamber of Experts.

- Mandatory insurance – protection of citizens from unprofessional expert opinions.

- A more detailed disciplinary procedure – a new system for accountability and professionalism.

The goal is clear: improved quality of court proceedings, expertise and increased public trust in this important activity.

This law ensures that expert opinions are objective and provision of quality evidence in court proceedings.
