Mediation is not just a procedure – it is a philosophy. A process that places the person at the center, replacing conflict with dialogue, and mistrust with understanding.
At today's event, "The Future of Mediation in Macedonia: Trends and Challenges", Deputy Minister of Justice, Alen Dereban, emphasized that the implementation of the current Law on Mediation has shown weaknesses that we must overcome.
The Chamber of Mediators must be urgently restarted. We need strong institutions, not formal bodies without capacity.
Successful mediation does not depend on one law or one institution – but on a common will.
The Ministry of Justice, the Government and all institutions of the system are strong partners in this process. Let's encourage citizens to choose peace instead of dispute, dialogue instead of confrontation, a solution instead of battle!
