The Minister of Justice, Jeton Shasivari, had a meeting with the Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of North Macedonia, H.E. Setsuko Kawahara, during which the joint determination to further improve bilateral cooperation and friendly relations between the two countries, was confirmed.
During the talks, the emphasis was placed on the reform agenda, the strengthening of the rule of law and the activities related to the electoral legislation.
It was assessed that there are no open issues between the two countries, which represents a solid basis for further deepening of the partnership. In the next period, the exchange of experiences and good practices will be intensified, as well as support for reform processes aimed at strengthening of legal certainty and improving democratic standards.
