Shasivari: The Ohrid Agreement is not just a document from our history. It is an institutional responsibility and a standard that we should continue to build every day

Today, at the ceremonial session of the Government, we marked the 25th anniversary of the Ohrid Framework Agreement. This is a historic moment that gave our country a new path towards peace, stability, and coexistence.

As Minister of Justice, I see this anniversary not only as an opportunity to remember the past, but above all as a responsibility for the future.

The Ohrid Agreement is not just a document from our history. It is an institutional responsibility and a standard that we should continue to build every day.

For me, justice cannot be selective. Equality must not remain just a principle on paper. It must be part of the daily functioning of the state and the trust of every citizen in the institutions.

My message 25 years later is clear:

The future of the country is built on respect, equality, on the rule of law and on the dignity of every citizen.

On this anniversary, we mark the path we have traveled, we value our achievements and we look responsibly towards the challenges of the future. By being a part of an institution, it is our obligation not to treat this Agreement as a closed chapter. It is part of the continuous process of building a democratic, just and equal state for all.

25 years of peace.

25 years of responsibility.

One common task: to build a more just future for all!

Jeton Shasivari
