The Minister of Justice, Jeton Shasivari, held a working meeting with representatives of the European Union Rule of Law Project, at which the cooperation to date was reviewed, and future activities were agreed.
In the past period, the project has provided significant expert and financial support in key reform processes, including in the preparation of the laws on the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors, the Judicial Council and the Law on Courts, as well as in the work of the Council for Monitoring Reforms in the Judiciary.
At the same time, analyses and documents have been prepared in accordance with European standards, working sessions, public debates and workshops have been organized, and support has been provided in the implementation of the Sector Development Strategy for the Judiciary 2024–2028 and the Action Plan.
Joint activities will be further intensified, with a focus on strengthening the European spirit through fulfilling the obligations of the European integration process🇪🇺, for a modern, efficient, transparent and independent judiciary.
