It was discussed at the meeting about the current situation and challenges that the Academy is facing with, as well as about the new Law on the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors, which is in government procedure.
The proposed legal solution will create conditions for the smooth functioning of the Academy, including overcoming the current standstill and continuing the process of admission and training of the new generation of students at the Academy.
The proposed law provides for the improvement of the normative framework for the functioning of the Academy, in order to more efficiently implement the procedures for admission, training and practical preparation of future judges and public prosecutors, as well as ensuring continuity in the implementation of the programs for initial and continuous training.
Special attention at the meeting was paid to the spatial and technical conditions for the work of the Academy, as well as the need to strengthen its capacities, taking into account the scope of the upcoming activities.
The Ministry of Justice and the Academy continue to work together to improve the quality of trainings and to strengthen the capacities of the judiciary.
