The Minister of Justice, Jeton Shasivari, met the Ambassador of the Republic of France to North Macedonia, H.E. Christophe Le Rigoleur. The excellent cooperation and joint commitment to advancing the rule of law and the country's European integration were confirmed at the meeting.
Minister Shasivari emphasized the full readiness of the Ministry of Justice to accelerate the implementation of reforms in accordance with the recommendations of the European Commission and the obligations related to Cluster 1 – Fundamental Values.
"France is our important partner in the European integration process. We remain fully committed to reforms in the area of the rule of law and the fulfillment of European standards" said Minister Shasivari.
The French support was particularly highlighted through the expert engagement of Cecile Maroni, who provides expert support to the Ministry of Justice in the European integration process.
At the meeting , it was also discussed about the cooperation in the field of climate and environmental justice, within the framework of the regional project "Convergence of Climate and Environmental Justice" (CEJ Convergence).
Continuous expert and institutional support will contribute to creating a more efficient and accessible justice system for citizens.
