FROM SKOPJE TO THE WORLD: GONXHE BOYAXHIU AND THE MESSAGE THAT HUMANISM HAS NO BORDERS

On August 26, 1910, Gonxhe Boyaxhiu was born in Skopje, a person whose life path left a mark far beyond her hometown.
On the 116th anniversary of her birth, we remember her above all through the values that have universal significance: humanism, solidarity, dignity and respect for every person.
Her life story is also part of the history of Skopje. The path of a woman who later became famous throughout the world began from this city.
For me, as Minister of Justice, this is a reminder that human dignity, equality, fairness and care for the vulnerable are values that know no borders, languages or divisions.
Skopje is her birthplace. Her life story is a world heritage. And the values she carries are a message for all of us.
Let us remember Skopje not only as a city with a rich history, but also as a city from which people set out into the world and whose works left a mark on humanity.
