Shasivari on the European Day of Justice: Justice is an obligation, responsibility is a duty, trust is earned

Shasivari on the European Day of Justice: Justice is an obligation, responsibility is a duty, trust is earned

Justice is the foundation of the rule of law, the guardian of freedom, the dignity of every person and the strongest proof of the true maturity of institutions. Without an independent judiciary, a professional prosecution and responsible institutions, there is no legal certainty, no equality and no real trust.

As Minister of Justice, my determination is to build a judiciary in which the law will be above every interest, justice will not depend on anyone's power, and every citizen will have an equal right to protection and fair treatment.

We need a judiciary that decides independently, impartially and within a reasonable time. A prosecution that acts professionally, decisively and non-selectively. Institutions that will justify trust not with words and promises, but with concrete results, integrity and responsibility.

Trust in justice is not demanded – it is earned. Not with declarations, but with deeds. Not by promises, but by results. Therefore, we will not measure the reforms only by the number of laws passed, but by the changes that citizens will actually feel: more efficient procedures, better quality decisions, greater legal certainty and equal application of the law for all.

The European future of the state implies European standards in every institution, consistency in the implementation of reforms and responsibility without exception. This is not only our obligation on the European path, but above all an obligation to the citizens and their right to live in a just and orderly state.

Justice is an obligation. Responsibility is a duty. Trust is deserved.

Happy October 25 – European Justice Day!

Minister of Justice

Dr. Jeton Shasivari
