The Minister of Justice, Jeton Shasivari, had a meeting with the Head of the Program Office of the Council of Europe in Skopje, Oleg Soldatov, during which they discussed the current and future cooperation in the areas of importance for the Ministry of Justice.
At the meeting, readiness was expressed to continue intensive cooperation and support in several important areas, including:
• free legal assistance;
• strengthening the capacities of the prison system;
• freedom of expression and the media;
• fight against hate speech, intolerance and discrimination
The support of the Council of Europe is of exceptional importance for the advancement of reforms in the judiciary and the strengthening of institutional capacities.
Joint commitment, partnership and a coordinated approach will be key to the successful implementation of projects and the achievement of concrete results in the interest of citizens.
